Recent Event: International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem

Mangroves contribute to the well-being, food security, and protection of coastal communities worldwide. Since the 1980’s, an estimated 35% of the world’s Mangroves have been lost.

This is why at The LEAF Charity, we are working hard to protect these precious ecosystems that provide incredible benefits both above, and below the surface of the sea and rivers. To celebrate this year’s international Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, we are organizing an amazing event in Kenya that will include Mangrove Planting, Environmental Talks, the awards ceremony for the winners of The LEAF’s School Essay Writing Contest, and rounding off with a movie night!
