Welcome to the Canopy

Canopies capture light and CO₂

Our canopy bumps into you and other likeminded individivuals to route resources where they’re needed

So what’s this all about?

Definitions (only 2 of them):

Wood Wide Web ↴

An underground fungal superstructure in forests, supercharging growth and carbon storage.

The Wood(s) Wide Web ↴

A social, phsyical and virtual network, linking natural spaces via humans into an international superstructure.

TheLEAF isn’t your everyday reforestation charity.

We’ve done some stuff we’re really proud of, like helping organise the largest tree planting event in East African history, but our strength lies foremost in our partners.

Joining with, coordinating and routing resources to other charities and communities has an exponential effect on what we can do (it multiplies and multiplies).

We’re but a leaf; we’d love not just our tree, but the entire forest to grow.

So what’s this all about?

The Woods Wide Web campaign works in a few ways:

1

By educating yourself, you’ve already improved the prospects of biodiversity in our human world. You’ve become a node we can bounce off and through, so thanks!

2

Buying the T-shirts directly supports LEAF, and our work to reforest the world in the most valuable way possible.

3

Wearing our apparel raises awareness, and sends people here! Once you’ve got them here, it’s on us to engage further; so thank you, our human sunbeam, for carrying them!

4

Choosing to sign-up to our newsletter (and maybe become a regular donator if you like our work?) ensures you stay in the loop (links at the bottom).

5

We want to promote the concept that humans can actively act as the solution to our own problem.

We can reverse the fragmentation of our forests and other natural spaces.

Helping nature recover, and not just recover, but grow to a state which can thrive in the human world?

Eminently doable.

Check out the Roots for some cool organisations we’re partnered with!

Get involved wherever you are, grow your local patch, support nature and together, we can be our own Woods Wide Web.
